“SysPrep”

Today was another one of those days at the volunteer place without my friend that got me the gig. Mostly I spent installing all the apps necessary for an accounting computer. Then I sysprepped and imaged the drive with CloneZilla. With that done I still had to deliver the PC so I booted it up and went through this newly created sysprep process since I wanted to debug anyway. Well I guess I should have put in the “silent” flag because it ignored the INF I generated with the utility. So I had to type everything in anyway.

Since getting home, on the other hand, I have done a number of things. Usually I have very little mail but today I had a bunch of envelopes. In fact one was my new SIM card for this new carrier I signed up for. I am in the process of canceling Simple Mobile and signing up with PureTalk USA. I didn’t expect the SIM to arrive so quick. I actually managed to finally put in my debit card number last night. I thought it was expiring today but I got a text message that implied it would expire last night. Anyway I renewed thinking I couldn’t go a day without my old number then I got the new SIM today. But as I write this the number hasn’t been ported. I hope that happens soon.

I also read about Google Android App Inventor: a web-based application that is supposed to make android app development ridiculously easy. And the sample video they made looks pretty cool too. Anyway I’m kind of excited about that. The non-Google article I read said they’d be coming out with it this Monday. Is that supposed to be today? Or a week from today? I don’t know. I tried to sign up for it, I’m a little unclear on the whole accessing it process. I gave them my gmail address so I assume a link or something will be coming in the mail.

I also got a check for that two day job I did…either last week or two weeks ago. Probably two weeks ago. So I walked down to the bank and deposited it. It’s a short walk but a really killer hill is involved and wow does it wear me out. In fact I think I’ll stop the blog right here.
